What you may do

You may use this software for your own purposes, internal or personal, without limit on the number of chains, records or machines you run.

You may:

• run it in your own organisation, including in production
• modify it for your own use
• run it on client work where you are the one operating it
• study it, test it, and attack it

What you may not do

You may not redistribute this software, in whole or in part, modified or unmodified. That includes:

• reselling it, alone or bundled
• embedding it in a product, service or SDK you supply to others
• publishing it, or a derivative of it, publicly or to customers
• offering it as a hosted or managed service to third parties

If you want to do any of those, you need the Commercial Edition Licence, available at neonai.shop.

Records, chains and evidence you produce with this software are entirely yours. NEON AI claims no interest in your data and receives none of it — the verifier runs offline and contacts no server.

Warranty and liability

This software is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. See SECURITY.md for an honest statement of what it does and does not protect against, and for the fact that it has not had an independent professional security audit.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NEON AI is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this software. Nothing in this licence excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer under Irish and EU law.

Updates

Patch releases within 1.1.x are provided at no additional cost for twelve months from purchase, by email to the address used at checkout.

Consumer right of withdrawal

This is digital content supplied without a tangible medium. If you are a consumer, the statutory right to cancel is lost once supply begins only where the legal requirements have been met, including your prior express consent to immediate supply and your acknowledgement that the right to cancel will be lost. Nothing in this licence limits mandatory consumer rights. If the software does not do what this package says it does, contact skibajerzy1976@gmail.com and it will be put right or refunded. (1.1.2: previously this said the right "is waived at the point of download, which you acknowledge at checkout"; it now matches the shop's published Refund and Cancellation Policy.)

What you may do

Everything the Standard Edition permits, plus the right to redistribute.

You may:

• embed this software in a product, service, platform or SDK you supply to your own customers
• redistribute it, modified or unmodified, as part of that product
• offer it as a hosted or managed service to third parties
• sublicense it to your customers as a component of your product, on terms no less protective than these
• remove or replace NEON AI branding in your product's user interface

One licence covers one company, including its subsidiaries, with no limit on the number of end customers, deployments, chains or records.

What you may not do

You may not resell this software as a standalone product — that is, sell it substantially as it is, as a competing implementation of the same protocol. The licence is for embedding it in something of yours, not for becoming a second distributor of it.

You may not use the "Proof-of-Silence" name or mark to imply that NEON AI endorses, certifies or has audited your product.

Attribution

Your product documentation must state, in a place a technical reader will find it, that it incorporates the Proof-of-Silence™ Protocol by NEON AI. No attribution is required in your end-user interface.

Protocol conformance

If you build your own implementation of the protocol, conformance/vectors.json is the definition of correctness. An implementation that reproduces all vectors byte for byte may state that it is conformant with Proof-of-Silence™ Protocol v1.1.2. One that does not, may not — including in marketing.

This matters commercially: records signed by a non-conformant implementation fail verification in a conformant one, and your customers will blame you.

Read this before shipping to your customers: you are embedding evidence infrastructure into a product other people will rely on. The honest statement of what it does and does not protect against is in SECURITY.md, and you should pass an equivalent statement on to them. Do not describe your product as "tamper-proof", "independently verified" or "EU AI Act compliant" on the strength of this component. Doing so is a misrepresentation you would be making, not one NEON AI has made.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NEON AI's aggregate liability is limited to the licence fee paid. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Updates and support

• Patch releases within 1.1.x: included, no additional cost, for twelve months.
• Minor releases (1.2.x): included for twelve months from purchase.
• Email support for integration questions: twelve months, best effort, from a solo founder in Ireland (UTC+0/+1). Response times are not guaranteed and no SLA is offered. If you need one, contact us before buying.

Consumer right of withdrawal

This is a business-to-business licence. If you are purchasing as a consumer, the Standard Edition terms on withdrawal apply instead.
